Gema Montoya

Gema · Founder · Program Architecture & Partnerships

From building complex systems to building GeWell.

For more than 30 years, Gema Montoya has led international businesses, market expansion and complex organisations across financial services and technology. In parallel, since training as a Yoga teacher in Goa in 2011, she has maintained a sustained relationship with India, Ayurveda and Yoga, learning and working alongside professionals with whom she has built long-standing relationships of trust.

Over time, she recognised in health a problem she knew well from other sectors: strong expertise does not automatically create a coherent experience. It takes judgement to select, connect, structure and create continuity. GeWell grew from that intersection.

Gema's role is not to hold clinical authority. It is to build the architecture around professional expertise: designing programmes, connecting the right people, developing partnerships and ensuring that each stage has context, coherence and continuity.

What guides us

Six principles behind how we work.

i
Preventive health

We focus on understanding health, habits and personal context more clearly, supporting practices that can be sustained over time.

ii
Coherence over accumulation

We don't sell rooms or standalone treatments. We design, filter and accompany.

iii
Professional Authority

Assessment and clinical or therapeutic decisions remain with the qualified professional. GeWell designs and coordinates the programme architecture.

iv
Clarity and context

We explain Ayurveda and Yoga in a clear, practical way that respects their origins, making them easier to understand and apply.

v
Preparation · Immertion · Integration

Value does not begin or end with the stay. Preparing, experiencing and integrating what has been learned are part of one connected process.

vi
Practical longevity

We focus on the years ahead: capability, autonomy, energy, mobility and practices that can make sense in real life.

The team

Professionals we’ve trusted for years.

GeWell works in India with professionals whose experience long predates the company itself. Our relationship with them has been built over more than a decade through programmes, consultations and shared work. They bring the specialist judgement and professional experience that underpin Rasayana India.

Dr. Rohit R. Borkar en su consulta

Ayurveda Physician & Panchakarma Consultant · B.A.M.S.

Dr. Rohit R. Borkar

With more than two decades dedicated to Ayurveda, Rohit is an Ayurveda physician, Panchakarma consultant and founder of Ayurclinic Goa. His work combines traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with extensive experience in individual assessment, personalised treatment and the practical application of Ayurveda to people from different backgrounds. His approach begins with the person rather than with a standard protocol. Through Ayurvedic assessment, he determines the treatments and adaptations appropriate to each individual and follows their progress throughout the process. Alongside his clinical practice, he has extensive experience teaching Ayurveda to international audiences, helping make its principles understandable without separating them from their traditional foundations. At GeWell, Rohit provides the Ayurvedic professional direction and judgement that underpins Rasayana India. He leads the individual Ayurvedic assessment, determines and adapts treatments, and brings the specialist perspective that connects classical Ayurvedic knowledge with each person’s experience of the programme.

Rajbir

Chief Physiotherapist & Therapeutic Yoga Consultant

Rajbir Singh Dhillon, PT

With more than fifteen years of experience, Rajbir Singh Dhillon is a physiotherapist specialising in sports and orthopaedic rehabilitation and a Therapeutic Yoga Consultant. His work combines physiotherapy, human anatomy, biomechanics and Yoga, focusing on how each person moves and what may contribute to pain, restriction or inefficient movement patterns. His approach begins with detailed observation and assessment rather than an idealised idea of how the body should move. He draws on rehabilitation science and Yogic practice to adapt movement, breathing and mobility work to the individual, with an emphasis on making practice understandable, purposeful and relevant to everyday life. Alongside his rehabilitation work, Rajbir has extensive experience teaching Yoga therapeutics, anatomy, breathing and movement to international audiences through seminars, workshops and retreats in India and Europe. At GeWell, he brings this physiotherapy-informed perspective to Yoga + Movement, connecting anatomical understanding, embodied practice and intelligent adaptation within the programme.
